Hélder Pinto has been involved in the last 12 years in several ubiquitous and pervasive computing research projects at the University of Minho. His interests range from ubiquitous computing to human-computer interaction in general. The topic of his PhD (2008) was human-computer interaction in activity-based ubiquitous computing environments. In 2007, he joined Ubisign – a digital signage software company -, where he has since been leading the R&D department. Hélder has recently joined the PD-NET project, in September 2011, and has meanwhile been leading as well the Instant Places infrastructure development team.
