Dr Adrian Friday is a Senior Lecturer in the Computing Department. His research is focused on system support for mobile and ubiquitous computing. He was one of the Principal Investigators of the high-impact Equator project, a UK-wide interdisciplinary initiative on Innovation in Digital and Physical Life from 2001-7. Recently, his work has included interaction with situated public displays (as architect of the e-Campus project) and context-aware mobile computing (EU/IST SMS). Dr Friday is widely published and cited in the international research community, and has been recognized in leading roles including TPC chair of Ubicomp 2006 and Pervasive 2009.
